Our story

Established in 2011, the Linda Tahija brand is hinged around ethical manufacture, quality materials & craftsmanship, and creating jewellery pieces that hold a deep personal meaning for the wearer.

With a focus on designing sterling silver jewellery and solid 9k gold jewellery, all pieces are designed by Linda in her Sydney based studio and then ethically crafted in Thailand.

Her career began after graduating from Sydney’s prestigious College of Fine Arts. Linda worked her way up to became the head designer at a company that supplied works to Australia’s largest commercial jewellers, a role that took her to Bangkok in Thailand and saw her work alongside some truly inspiring designers. Four years later, Linda's dream to have her very own label beckoned and so she made her way back to Australia. Upon her return in 2011, Linda Tahija Jewellery was born.

We partner with suppliers and makers that share our ethical values. This means the makers are paid a decent, living wage, treated fairly and respected.

All makers are paid above award wages, receive yearly bonuses, are paid for optional overtime, provided with health insurance, paid maternity leave & work in a safe environment.

Nearly all Linda Tahija pieces are made using the ancient process of lost wax casting and are then hand finished. Each jewellery piece passes through many skilled, talented hands to bring our creations to life. So much care and love is put into the making of our jewellery.

All of our cast jewellery is crafted from high quality metals that come from 100% recycled sources. This is essentially all of our jewellery excluding the chain and earring backs. All diamonds and gemstones are sourced from responsible sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with UN resolutions.

We are actively reducing our plastic use. We use mailers made from post consumer recycled paper for all online orders, and have switched to compostable bags made from plant based materials to store and protect our jewellery.

Our packaging is predominantly made from paper and cardboard, which we urge end customers to keep to store their jewellery safely in. The boxes themselves can also be recycled.

We give back with every sale. $1 from each online sale is donated to help women and girls globally via the 3 charity’s we are committed to supporting through I=CHANGE. Click here to find out more
